BRAG DRE

Our first flagship ale brewed in The Old Market Hall Brewery. A deep golden colour, with a distinct hoppy and refreshing taste. Brag Dre 5.2 vol is brewed in the traditional way to ensure its taste and quality is perfected as beer should be. The name comes from the local slang Brag and Town.

TRIA HON

A superbly balanced bitter brewed traditionally. Our bitter with character, is a very drinkable strength and described as "delectable" and "scrumptious" enjoyed best as a quaffing session drink.

BLONDE

OUR BREWERY

All our beers are brewed in our microbrewery at the Old Market Hall located in the historic royal town of Caernarfon, and is available on tap at our bar. It is also available in other good pubs, and casks can be ordered from here >>

The brewers of our fine ales are privileged to be mentored and taught by award winning brewer Paul Jefferies. Now in his 17th year as Head Brewer of Hydes, Paul previously worked for Bass, Allied Breweries, Carlsberg and Robert Cain. He is a Diploma and Master Brewer of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD)

HISTORY OF THE BREWERY

The Old Market building was in need of much renovation and from this, is where the The Old Market Brewery was established in 2015 by Caren and David Lloyd. They had a vision of brewing fine cask ales. The Old Market Hall with its rustic appearance, splendid architectural design and historic location is without doubt the perfect location to produce such a local fine ale.

We are located in Palace Street in the heart of Caernarfon, adjacent to Caernarfon Castle. The Castle is of an historic importance for many reasons and offers a dramatic backdrop to the many events that take place in the town.

With our brand new and modern kitchen, we now offer a fine selection of hot food sourced locally. The Kitchen is open throughout the year and food is available during our regular opening hours.
